On the main indicators the turbodiesel repeats the engine of 1,8 l of Endura-DE (44 kW), established on Ford Fiesta. A design of pistons and a head of the cylinder are developed for system with direct injection of fuel. Engines with direct injection of fuel concern the most economic and non-polluting (fig. 56) .

Both diesel engines successfully combine moshchnostny characteristics with indicators on fuel consumption. Engines the electronic Ford EEC-V c module operates new characteristics. On engines the plunzherny fuel pump of a high pressure (TNVD) of distributive type, a two-spring nozzle, catalytic converter are established. Turbokompressor placed in a final collector, is applied with an intermediate cooler of nadduvochny air. The geometry of an inlet collector provides the additional inertial pressurization compensating failures in operation of the turbine (fig. 57) .
Engines with direct injection can be carried to the most economic, however in work are characterized by the increased noise and vibration.
For comfort increase the electronic pedal of the gas, allowing to reduce vibration on a pedal is offered to the driver. Reduction of vibration is promoted by application of new designs of support of the engine, an aluminum frame between the block of cylinders and an oil case, and also a cranked shaft from high-strength steel. Total constructive actions allowed to reduce Endura engine vibration to level of petrol Zetec.
On the Endura engine growth of capacity occurs to working volume of 1753 cm3 on the top turns and a torque — on averages. On option of the engine of 66 kW (90 h.p.) already on the maximum turns of idling the torque makes 110 N · m, and the maximum torque of 200 N · is the share m of 1000 — 2000 mines-1. On option of the engine of 55 kW (75) maximum moment of 175 N · the m is the share of 1800 mines-1. Always it is enough this moment for movement on the 5th transfer on the city and in the country. The car with the engine of 66 kW gathers the maximum speed of 184 km/h, and with the engine of 55 kW — 168 km/h. The sedan with the engine of 55 kW reaches 100 km/h for 14,7 with, and with the engine of 66 kW — for 12,5 pages. Average fuel consumption of the car with both options of engines is slightly above 5,1 l on 100 km of run.
