Unlike petrol engines the diesel work with more high pressure in fuel system. TNVD of the diesel engine considerably differs from the fuel pump of the petrol engine. On the Focus car plunzherny TNVD of the distributive Bosch VP-30 type which via the pressure head pipeline and nozzles forces fuel in the combustion chamber (fig. 204) is established .

The drive of the pump is carried out by a chain from a cranked shaft. From above the pump there is an electronic control unit the pump (PCU). The control unit uses information from sensors of situation cranked and camshafts, and also the control unit transmission and directs operating signals for the valve of a high pressure and the sensor of the beginning of injection of fuel (fig. 205) .
Fuel arrives to nozzles on pipelines of equal length. Nozzles fasten tightening screws to a block head. Copper laying protects their tips from direct contact to a block head. Replace laying each time at removal of nozzles. On the nozzle Focus car rather long. The direction of injection of five openings of a nozzle is directed to the center of the chamber of combustion.
